V100HR WL2X Head Unit in custom team colors
Speed and Cadence Sensors with Battery Indicator Lights
Our particular computer is wireless and features a fork mount sensor to detect speed off the front wheel, paired with a cadence sensor that mounts to the left chainstay to detect cadence from your non-drive crank arm. The head unit is clean and easy to use with three well placed buttons to switch between function screens and scroll through your ride data. The computer features an automatic cut-off that times out when not in use to conserve battery life, and a comfortable heart-rate strap to keep track of your ticker.
Overall the VETTA products have proven to be reliable, easy to use and maintain, and extremely durable due to the amount of abuse we throw at them through the season.
Thanks again to VETTA for their fantastic support of our Team!

This is the most worthless bike computer out there. If you purchase it, make sure to get the wired version as the wireless is completely useless. Over 50 rides, I had it actually work properly 12 times.
Its inability to consistently track and monitor cadence, speed, and Heart rate render this computer a glorified, hundred plus dollar digital clock. I can't imagine how a team would use it, either, as when it WAS working, if I rode too closely to my Dad, his would pick up my data and the other way around.
I've given it fresh batteries in all components, and yet it will fail to track any information, eventually using its "power save" sleep mode to simply display the time. I've made sure I'm away from powerlines or anything with an electromagnetic field that might throw it off- failures abound.
I purchased this and my Dad purchased this around the same time, and we've both had the same experience. Over numerous races and hundreds of miles of different computers, I can safely say this is one of the worst bike computers I've ever used. A shame, really, since its featureset make it appealing. Sorry Team Hincapie, but I have to say it: DO NOT buy this.
All right. Here's the situation- within an hour of posting the above (and on a Sunday, I might add), a Vetta rep contacted me, offering to make the situation right. It was fantastic- he said it was his job to personally ensure that every customer is satisfied with their respective Vetta products. Within a week, I'd received a brand new computer, free of charge and no questions asked. I strapped it onto my bike and can now say after a couple of weeks of training with it, that the "old Vetta" is no more.
One of the things explained to me was that Acumen, Inc. purchased the Vetta brand and completely reworked every one of the product's flaws. And you can tell- much more comprehensive triggers for speed and cadence sensors, the receiver is built in to the computer itself instead of the mount, and there's even a beeping sound that comes from each sensor on setup to ensure you've got everything positioned correctly for good pickup of data. They even reworked how the sensors and mount are attached to the bike, with adjustable straps that screw to a tight fit around the frame and fork.
Also, no more of those zip ties unless your frame has some kind of weird setup. I've got a two inch aerofoil fork that the speed sensor still fit around, so I'm talking a really, really, odd setup. Even so, zip ties come with it and are an easy alternative to the screw-on straps. Speaking of includes, even batteries came with this, something I wasn't expecting at all.
The heart rate monitor is also a more flexible fabric, which isn't cold to the touch and conforms to your body more, for better reception of your heart rate. It also doesn't need to wait until you start sweating to pick up data- you put it on, and it goes to work.
Big kudos to Acumen for picking up and running with the Vetta line- where concept was solid and execution was poor, Acumen has not only fixed the issues, but is exceeding expectations for repairing the damage from past sins of Vetta products. This new product is solid, no question about it.
JP, As you can see there really are still good, upstanding companies out there! We have been partnered with Vetta for over 8 years now as a team and done countless miles of real world product testing on the bikes under multiple conditons (rain, races, tropical heat, more rain, cold, etc.). As a result of this data and Vetta's willingness to refine their products with the most up to date technology, they have developed a line of some really great computers.
Clearly, as you can see from your most recent dealings with the product and company, you can see why we are proud to be partnered with Vetta. It's not lip service...they are great folks making great products. Thank you for your comments and ride on!
